It is gonna be the first time ever, The Wild Life Festival at Brighton City Airport will see the presence of armed police officers who will be deployed to reassure festival goers. Police forces and event organizers took the decision together after the attacks in Manchester and London. 20,000 festival-goers are expected at Brighton City Airport this Friday and Saturday.
Police officers will be stationed at each of the entrances to the festival grounds to carry out security checks. Organizers advise festival-goers to not take bags with them as this will slow down the procedure.
The organizers have pointed out that they don’t want visitors to be alarmed by the police officers who will be patrolling in and around the festival site. However, they encourage everyone who notices anything suspicious, dangerous or inappropriate to immediately report it to the officers and stewards.
Organizers and police will regularly update security information concerning the event on social media, using the hashtag #wildlife17.
