Brighton’s Likely To Get a Yoga-Rave Venue!

Brighton’s Likely To Get a Yoga-Rave Venue!

Yoga is usually synonymous with peace and relaxation – not with partying! But London-based fitness chain Gymbox hosts yoga rave classes – and has its sights set on opening a Brighton venue.

The chain offers all the usual fitness classes including circuits, kettlebell sessions, and pilates, alongside quirky workouts like rave, broga (men-only yoga), and balates (a ballet/pilates hybrid). It’s even hosted a class which claims to make you taller, and claims to offer the ‘hardest and deadliest gym class in the world’.

Richard Hilton, the founder of the Gymbox group, said:”Business is going very well. We had a terrific last year and our new clubs are trading well so we’re looking at international expansion and expansion outside of London.

“In the UK, Leeds, Manchester and Brighton are looking likely.

“Internationally, we think it could work in Europe and Asia but nothing has been identified yet, we’re analysing all the options.”

Founded in 2003, Gymbox has 26,000 fitness-mad members across its nine London locations. Three new Gymboxes will open in the capital this year, including a venue near Victoria.

Could the secret to this chain’s super-fast growth be its unorthodox classes? Brightonians could soon find out for themselves!
