Elderly Lady Suffers Broken Elbow in Brighton Bus Crash

Sussex Police have released news of a highly unfortunate incident which recently occurred in Brighton. A bus crash has resulted in a painful injury to a senior passenger.

A resident of Peacehaven in East Sussex has broken her elbow after a crash involving a bus and a car on the city’s A259 Marine Parade. The incident occurred on Wednesday 27th June, at around 11:50am.

The vehicles that were involved were a Wrightbus Streetdeck bus and a Skoda Fabia car. The elderly lady was a passenger on the Wrightbus Streetdeck bus at the time of the crash.

The 71-year-old was treated for her injury at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton following the incident. She has luckily since recovered from the crash and she was subsequently allowed home soon after the completion of her treatment.

Sussex Police have taken the action of launching an investigation into the crash. They are now looking for help from the public as they seek to work out the exact nature of the incident.

They have requested that anyone who was a witness to the event or who happens to possess useful and relevant dash-cam footage contact Sussex Police “online or phone 101, quoting serial 557 of 27/06.”
