February at the Rialto Theatre
The first of January feels like forever ago doesn’t it? February is fast approaching and there are some really great things going next month, particularly at the Rialto Theatre.
The Treason Show: The satirical comedy show is back after their sell out run at the Dome at the end of last year. Written by a team of over forty writers and performed by a team of multi-talented sketch performers, The Treason Show is a must see for everyone.
Would Like To Meet: Just in time for February 14th, Would Like To Meet is doing a three day run over Valentines weekend at the Rialto. Described as ‘a journey through the trials and tribulations of dating in the digital world, with a collection of hilarious true stories, embarrassing speed dating scenarios and shocking statistics.’
Nu Tribe Night: Can’t wait for festival season? Head to the Rialto on the 19th for a mini festival night. Listen to a live band, spoken word, live conscious hip hop and beatboxing as well as fancy dress, face painting and tarot reading.
Romeo & Juliet: Not your average love story on a good day, the Unmasked Theatre put an entirely different spin on one of the well-known love stories of all time. Set in Milano in 1910, violence is sweeping the city. On one side, the capitalists join forces with the Catholic Church, presided over by Cardinal Capulet and on the other, the angry communists are growing more powerful, funded by the Montague family. This is definitely a show not to be missed.
