Brighton Music Conference (BMC) has revealed the full line-up of panels and speakers for the two-day conference at Brighton Dome on Thursday 27th & Friday 28th April 2017. Now in its fourth year, BMC is the UK’s foremost electronic music conference event.
Producers and artists taking part this year include Randomer, Ikonika, Whyt Noyz, and Throwing Shade, with SSR London discussing Tactile Sound Design using Maschine Jam. Native Instruments will also host their Native Sessions along with a seminar, talks and workshops including the use of Maschine, Workflow, Kontakt, and Traktor.
Key figures from some of the biggest brands in music will be welcomed aboard, including representatives from Sony, Ministry of Sound, BPI, PRS for Music, Mixcloud, Beatport, and dozens more. Leading electronic music DSP Beatport will deliver its Annual Report
As for talks and seminars, this year’s hot topics for the Professional programme include streaming vs radio, diversity in electronic music, and copyright laws on remixes. Guests to the Academy programme will learn how to write and compose to a brief, how to get ahead in the ever-changing industry, and why music videos are still important.
It’s clear that the organisers are setting up for a fun-filled as well as educational few days – they’re putting on great afterparties, and even co-hosting a pier party where movers and shakers dressed up as Cilla Black get free entry.
