Tuesday – Yowls + House Points @The Green Door Store

Brighton based fuzzy indie pop four-piece House Points, create quirky upbeat guitar pop numbers with a musical depth that rivals their peers. Combining infectious melodies with a lo-fi guitar cacophony, since their formation in 2016, the Brighton foursome set out to give all the raw, primal energy of influences such as Palma Violets, Pixies and Parquet Courts, while never losing sight of their penchant for well crafted earworms. Lyrically, House Points tackle issues of social awkwardness and isolation from a bleak, often tongue-in-cheek perspective, wrapping it up in a pretty package of catchy hooks and choruses that were built for pumping your fist to at live shows. For fans of The Orwells, Best Coast, Skaters, The Strokes and Hockey Dad, House Points deliver a unique live energy, adrenaline fueled and painfully urgent.
