Most of us will probably know this situation. We wake up in the morning to get ready for work, look outside of the window, see that already it is absolutely beautiful and warm out there and immediately we think “Oh dear, and I am gonna be in the office all day long!”. Here are our suggestions for you on how to work around this problem.
The early bird catches the worm!
The sun is rising early and so should you. You know that the weather is gonna be beautiful the next day? Then set your alarm a little earlier than usual and make use of that extra time to have breakfast on the balcony or in the garden. If you are more of a sport than a breakfast fan, why not go for a run in the early morning to catch the early morning sun and do some exercising?
Use the way to work to soak up as much sun as you can!
Unfortunately, not all of us are so lucky to have a convertible we can cruise to work in. Taking the bus to work usually is fine, but when the weather is awesome, there definitely is a better way to do our daily commute. Riding your bike to work will not only save you from the stale air in the bus, but it also is a perfect way to enjoy the beautiful weather and get some fresh air before spending the day in the office.
Lunch in the green!
As soon as lunchtime comes, grab your sandwich, fruit, salad or whatever you fancy and head out to the next green spot outside. Even if there isn’t a park somewhere near your workplace, you can sure find a nice spot outside, maybe there is even a nice outside communal area at your workplace. Just make sure you don’t stay inside.
Let a breeze of fresh air whirl through the office!
Of course, you should make sure first that it won’t whirl through all your nice and neatly ordered paperwork. But once you got it all secured, just open up that window as wide as you can and let some fresh air come in. Instead of closing the blinds, let the sunshine get into the office. If you are dazzled, why not put on your sunnies in the office for some extra summer feeling?
‘I have gone out for a meeting!’
Meeting new business partners, daily meeting with your editorial team to discuss the issues of the day… Whatever kind of meeting it is, it can be held at another location than your office! Why not choose the outside sitting area of a nearby cafe or restaurant? Or if it’s just an informal meeting with some of your colleagues, why not do it in one of the nearby parks?
End of work, beginning of fun!
Even if you can’t knock off earlier, there will probably still be plenty of time to enjoy the sunshine when you leave work. Is there a better way than finishing off the day at the beach with a bbq? Pack everything you need in the morning and take it with you when you leave so that you don’t have to waste time by driving back home first. Tell your family and friends to meet you down at the beach and get that fire going.
