Cute little golden necklaces, fruit-shaped key rings, glittery unicorn iron-on patches, miniature cashmere socks… so many items to grab your attention as soon as you walk through the door of the pop up shop that opened its doors yesterday in Brighton’s Church Street Boutique.
Organised by jewellery company Orelia London and children’s wear online shop The Wee Store, the three-day pop up shop is a good opportunity for mums and magpies looking for fancy children’s accessories you can’t find on High Street, or real jewellery bargains!
The basement is mainly reserved for Orelia’s £2 end of the line jewellery sale while Lucie and Charlie’s niche brand kids accessories and clothing are put on display in the front room. The pop up shop saw its first customers yesterday at noon.
“It’s been pretty busy and hectic. We only had two hours to set things up and we had to be open by twelve and people were already outside the door waiting to get in”, Charlie says. Having done several pop up shops before, the two mums who run The Wee Store together have a good idea of what items do well in the pop ups.
“There are certain items that we know will fly off the shelves when we do a pop up shop. Things like posters, kids jewellery, tattoos… all those little pick-up items are really popular, especially at Christmas time when people were looking for stocking fillers. And also things like the neon signs or our play and game storage bag because we can show people how to use them”, Charlie explains.
The pop up shop is located on 114 Church Street, Brighton, BN1 1UD. It is open today from 10 am to 8 pm and tomorrow from 10 am to 7 pm.
