If you go down to Subline this Thursday, you’re in for a gory surprise! Club Silenco, hailed as Brighton’s most mysterious and seductive club night, is throwing a ‘my bloody valentine’ themed extravaganza. A far cry from the comforts of a champagne-soaked dinner date, the night is all about the surreal, the sinister, and the twisted.
Expect a weird and wacky mix of acting, live music, cabaret, vaudeville, peep shows and dancing. The venue is arranged in a series of small rooms, making for a unique walkthrough experience. Explore the dark and freaky hallways, nooks, and crannies as you search for true love with Krispy the clown.
“It’s an immersive club night, with a show in two halves. There’s an interval where guests can get involved with life drawing, or have their photograph taken in our quirky instillation room amongst many other activities which change from night to night,” said Kit Ellery, who dresses the sets.
The Club Silencio gang take pride in putting a dark spin on their themes, which have included 80s disco, USA prom night, and sleazy Santa. This time around, punters will get the chance to win dates with rejects from Channel 4’s First Dates in a truly gore-met darkroom restaurant. Another Valentine’s addition guaranteed to heat things up in the club will be shag-tags. Very cheeky.
