Of Acrobatic Pirates, Futuristic Vintage Cars And Darth Vader… A Normal Weekend In Brighton!
Oh dear, there goes another weekend and it’s Monday again! But at least it was a good weekend and as always, Brightonians were out and about in the city. Here is what made them stop and stare! Although by now, you might think you have seen it all in this amazing city!
Friday evening in New Road – Fringe City one off night special
“Say goodbye to mum!”, that was the advice little Tommy got from Head First Acrobat pirate Thomas who helped the kid to perform a full-on back-flip before venturing himself into some spectacular acrobatic stunts.
A one-arm handstand was only the warm-up and there was more to come!
Riding a skateboard on his head! Quite a risky stunt which got him a huge applause from the audience!
Sunday afternoon on Madeira Drive – Classic Cars as far as you can see!
They started arriving around midday and some still were until late in the afternoon. Lined up neatly all along Madeira Drive, classic cars of all sorts and brands attracted dreamy looks and a real storm of people taking selfies!
Old truly British stars like Triumph cars, but also American classics left rusty to stand out of the crowd of shiny cars… You could hardly find two cars that looked one like another.
And then there were those ones who looked rather futuristic, almost as if they had just jumped out of the “Back to the Future” film set.!
Driving an extraordinary classic car apparently isn’t enough. The look of the driver has to match his or her vehicle like this group demonstrated very well.
Laser sword fights with Darth Vader at the Pier!
Wait a minute, are we still in Brighton? Or have we been transported to a different planet right into the world of Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan and co? No, Darth Vader definitely made an appearance at the seafront near the Pier yesterday afternoon, entertaining grown-ups and kids alike, showing them how to use the lightsabre.
