The two thieves set out on a spree of criminal activity.
A pair of criminals are said to have attempted five burglaries in one night across Brighton and Hove.
The flurry took place across a range of local businesses.
They are all said to have taken place on the 5th June, between 1-3:20am.
There were successful break-ins at Uncle Sam’s and Woodingdean Café, both on Warren Road, and Cubitt and West Estate Agents at Preston Drove.
Attempted break-ins occurred at Rosalyn’s Hairdressers at Cowley Drive and Hyman Hill Estate Agents at Southwick Square.
The two suspects are also alleged to have stolen the Vespa motorbike they used to navigate the city. They have earned the nickname ‘Moped duo’.
The Vespa was later found in Hassocks.
Woodingdean Café’s owner, Lynsey Beebee, spoke out about the attack on her business.
Luckily, it was not too damaging: “They used a crowbar to get in, but thankfully they didn’t get away with much as I didn’t leave money in the till”.
With the release of the CCTV images, and the trail of damage behind them, business owners should be optimistic about the attackers being brought to justice.
