Join in today for Off The Fence’s Woolly Hat Day 2018! Countless men, women and children without a stable home are into dangerous and unpleasant sleeping situations in Brighton and Hove every night. During 2017, 17 individuals died whilst on Brighton’s streets. Off The Fence believes their work is now more vital than ever, and you can help them today!
Off The Fence, a Christian charity organisation that has been facilitating social change for twenty years, envisions an end to ‘social and spiritual poverty in Brighton and Hove’. The charity have remained dedicated to giving practical aid to the community’s most needy.
The organisation was founded by couple Paul and Wendy Young, who met on a missionary trip off the coast of Africa in 1985. Paul started Antifreeze in 1993, a drop in centre for homeless people in Brighton and Hove. The centre provides hundreds of people with housing, help with employment, and welfare advice, as well as practical essentials such as clothing and food.
“Without Antifreeze I would be totally lost. I have had loads of help having been travelling constantly all my life. God bless you all.” – Antifreeze Client
To help the Antifreeze team with the crucial aid work they do diligently and constantly, you can put on your best woolly hat, donate a couple of pounds and send in your selfies! Any donation will help, nothing is insignificant.
Off The Fence have stressed that this is a great fundraising event to involve your work, club or school in. Don’t forget to Instagram, Facebook and Tweet your Woolly Hat Day fund photos using the hashtag – #OTFwoollyhatday.
