The Best Photo Opportunities in Brighton
As picturesque as it is, Brighton is full of great photo opportunities just waiting to happen. But if you are stuck for ideas, we’re here to help suggest some of the most photogenic places in our city. Read on for our favourite photography locations!
Take In A Sunset At The Pier
As appealing as the Brighton Palace Pier may look in daylight, it looks even prettier at dusk. Check when sunset is and get yourself down to the beach for a perfect photo opportunity. Whether you’re using your phone camera or a DSLR, a sunset picture over the pier is guaranteed to wow people!
Look For Graffiti
Graffiti isn’t all tags and scribbles. In fact, in Brighton graffiti is one of many ways art is showcased throughout the city. Having been host to some of the world’s most exciting graffiti, (remember Banksy’s kissing policemen?), you can expect to find some hidden gems if you look hard enough.
Visit A Viewpoint
Why not go for a walk in the South Downs and search for a view point to capture a truly scenic photo? It may wear you out, but it’ll be worth it for the breathtaking views surrounding you. Pro tip: The higher you venture, the more impressive your view will be.
Experience The Brighton Mod Scene
Motorbikes are fairly ingrained in Brighton’s culture at this point, with films like Quadrophenia pioneering the mod trend here. If you frequent Madeira Drive regularly then you’ll know that there are often motorbikes parked up. With so many vintage and iconic motorbikes to admire, why not seize this as a photo opportunity? Look out for eccentric or heavily decorated bikes for an even more exciting photo.
Up, Up and Away!
If you’re looking for a truly spectacular view, Brighton seafront’s new addition, the i360, is here to help you out. Described as the “vertical pier in the sky”, the i360 offers views of the coastline and the whole city so is great for urban photography and birdseye views.
Watch Out For The Starling Spectacular
Keep an eye out for the amazing natural phenomenon that hits Brighton Palace Pier every year. Every year huge herds and arrows of Starlings flock to the pier, creating the perfect phtoo opportunities!
