Over the course of May every single event and venue at Brighton Fringe 2018 has been in the running to take home the incredibly coveted Audience Choice Award. The award, as the name would suggest, is chosen by the audiences of Fringe. Each event-goer has one vote for best event and one vote for best venue which must be cast before this Sunday (3rd June). Fringe say “venues and events are weighted according to their maximum capacity, so even the smallest venue and one-off events are still in the running.”
In order to vote, log into your Brighton Fringe ticket account online or on the Brighton Fringe app. On the app, search for your favourite venues profile screen and click the star in the top right hand corner. To vote for your favourite event, log into your Brighton Fringe ticket account, find the best event you went to see and click on the star underneath the event’s title or simply search on the app and click vote!
On Sunday evening you can join the organisers of Brighton Fringe as they hold their annual summer showcase fundraising gala at Brighton’s Open Air Theatre. There are confirmed performances from David Bramwell, ‘Brighton’s Singing Barber’ Peter Joannou, The Marta Scott Dance Company, King Sammy Silver and Louise Reay. The event is in support of Fringe 2019 and is being put on to raise much needed funds for the charity behind England’s largest open access arts festival. It starts at 7 pm and will go on until around 9:30 pm. Fringe has been an absolute success this year with more people than ever attending The Warren, Spiegeltent and the various other venues across the city. Help keep the wonderful tradition of Brighton Fringe going! Book tickets here.
