Police are seeking a man in suspicion of his involvement with two knife-point incidents in Brighton.

At around 7.20pm on Sunday 4th March, two 16-year-old boys were approached by five men at The Level in Brighton. The suspects carried knives and demanded the two teenagers hand over their wallets.

Both victims suffered minor injuries from punches they received. One of the stolen credit cards found in the stolen wallet was then used by the man in the picture below at a shop on London Road.

Shortly after the first incident, a 48-year-old man heard a knock on the door of his property in Frederick Street, Brighton. When it was opened four men pushed their way inside. These men stole cash, a Samsung widescreen TV and a mobile phone from the property.

The victims from both these offences described the men as wearing hooded tops and scarfs to conceal their faces.

Detective Constable Jon Moore said: “We believe the two incidents are linked as the description of the suspects are very similar.

“We are appealing to anyone who was in this area at the time to cast their minds back to see if they can remember seeing this particular group.

“Anyone with any information on this is urged to contact us immediately.”
