Brighton’s youngsters outgunned by Southend
Buchman (left) is hoping for big things from his young Seagulls
A thrilling under 18s game saw the Albion’s young guns narrowly defeated by Southend. Southend who had started the game in full flight, storming into a 4 goal lead were pegged back by the valiant young Seagulls who fought back to 4-3. Despite a sustained period of pressure in the closing minutes on the Southend goal the ‘shrimpers’ held on to record the win. Ian Buchman manager of the under 18s will undoubtedly be pleased with his sides fighting spirit but will be looking to address the slow start his young Seagulls had endured. It’s now of course just over two weeks until his side takes its bow in this years Premier League South away at Leicester City.
