Winter Wonderland: From Saturday, Worthing will be hosting their very own Winter Wonderland! Step aboard the Wonderland Train and visit Santa in his Christmas Grotto. There will be so many activities such as cookie decorating and face-painting, as well as serving mulled wine, bacon baps and mince pies! It is taking place all day until Wednesday from 11am to 6pm at Field Place Manor House.
Great War Exhibition: At the Jubilee Library this weekend there is an exhibition remembering those who took part in the great war. Sponsored by the Brighton and Hove Heritage Commission, the exhibition will feature those who received the Victoria Cross Womens’ Movements, The Quakers, The Royal Sussex Regiment, The Indian Hospital and more.
Declutter for Christmas: Make space for all those presents you’ll be getting next week by donating any old or unwanted clothes, blankets and other items to help the homeless people in the local area. Have a cup of tea, listen to some non-festive music, enjoy a number of events focussed on well-being, including an introductory yoga session, and listen to a talk on the health benefits of fasting from Pete Shepherd. Or you could just donate.
Christmas Tree Craft: Running from the 19th until the 22nd, Hove Museum and Art Gallery are putting on a workshop where you can make your own crafty Christmas trees. Perfect for those aged 4-12, the workshop runs twice daily and operates a ‘first come, first served’ policy, so no need to book.
The unique adaptation of the Dickens’ classic Christmas tale is perfect for teens and adults alike. Interweaving the traditional story with modern interpretation, the show is crammed full of dramatic scenes, puppets and music. Tickets are available here.
