Friday – West Dean Chilli Fiesta
This weekend long chilli festival attracts 25,000 guests. Held in West Dean Estate, there is live music, 140 market stalls, garden tours, live music and cookery demos. The family friendly festival begins at 10am and carries on through till 11pm. To find out more click here.
Friday – Illyria presents ‘The Lost World’
Brighton’s Open Air Festival presents a movie about dinosaurs which were previously thought to be extinct! Showings will be on Friday and Saturday. For more info about other shows and tickets click here.
Saturday – Street Food and Makers Market
This Saturday there will be a pop up cafe, live music, face painting and around 60 traders at this market based at Brighthelm Centre. The event is completely free and begins at 11am. Find out if it is for you here.
Saturday – Kids Can Cook!
This Saturday you can drop your kids off at Brighton Cookery School to be taught how to cook! They will learn everything from pasta and Italian Pomodoro sauce to chocolate torte. When you come back to collect them you get to sit down and eat the lunch they made together! Find out more here.
Saturday – Brighton Big Dog
This mountain biking race is held in Stanmer Park, come along to cheer people on or try and get entry on the day! Although they recommend pre-entry to avoid disappointment they say slots may open up so it is worth a try to get to cycle on this course! More information is available on their website.
Saturday – Cheese Fest
This is the first time Cheese Fest will be in Brighton. For both Saturday and Sunday cheese lovers can gorge on mozzarella sticks, raclettes, halloumi fries and so much more. Buy tickets here.
Sunday – Scruffs Dog Show
St Anns Wells Garden will not only host Rural Day this weekend which brings awareness to the environment but also Scruffs Dog Show on Sunday. There will also be creative and nature activities for the kids and areas to have picnics. Find out more here.
