Woman Sustains Injuries in East Preston Road Rage
The police are searching for witnesses to a motor vehicle incident in East Preston in which a woman suffered a broken wrist.
On Monday 6th February at around 9.40am a 33-year-old woman from Worthing was driving her Vauxhall Astra on the A259 heading westbound. She noticed a black Peugeot 307 driving erratically, which then began tailgating her. She pulled over to let the Peugeot driver past. At the level crossing on Roundstone Lane the woman got out of her Vauxhall, and approached the Peugeot on the driver’s side.
A verbal disagreement broke out between the two and the Peugeot driver moved the car forward, colliding with the victim, who put her hands on the bonnet of the car.
Detective Constable Claire Mitchell said: “The victim has a suspected fractured wrist and needs further hospital treatment.
“We are appealing to anyone who was driving in the area and might have seen the cars driving beforehand or during the incident. We are especially keen to hear from anyone with any dash-cam footage.”
