When tickets for Rick Astley’s gig at the Brighton Dome were released, they were priced at £24.50 and £37.00 with a £2 fee per order. A pretty good deal for a gig from someone who’s sold more than 40 million records.
But there are now only 10 tickets left for the 11 April event on retail site ConcertWithMe, the cheapest of which is £203. A ticket in the stalls will set you back £393, and you’ll have to take out a loan of £419 for the best seats in the house.
The tickets, which sold out instantly, were originally released last June – 10 months before the Brighton show date.
Rick has just released his first studio album in more than a decade, which takes him back to his musical roots. He said: ‘The response to the new material has been genuinely overwhelming. I’ve been overjoyed by the way the public have taken the songs of ’50’ to their hearts. I could not be more excited to share it with my fans everywhere.”
