Brighton residents will have the opportunity to eat a real life medieval style banquet this summer, all in aid of local children’s charity Rockinghorse.
Rockinghorse, the fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital, is celebrating 50 years of supporting sick children and to mark this golden anniversary, they are hosting The Brighton Medieval Banquet.
The themed dining experience will take place at The Grand Hotel in Brighton on Saturday 25 March and there is space for over 400 guests to be transported back in time.
The night will start with a drinks reception, serving tankards of ale and goblets of wine, before you are called to be seated at the long banqueting tables in the ‘Kings Hall’.
Medieval fayre will be served to the tables and guests will be able to help themselves and enjoy the feast. During the banquet guests will be entertained by minstrels, jesters and possibly the occasional sword fight.
Organisers promise a celebrity King and Queen who will preside over the night.
Guests are encouraged to dress in medieval fashion and an there will be prizes for the best dressed couple.
Tables of 10 are £900, or single tickets are £99. Tickets can be booked online.
