Attend the Madeira Terraces Cleanup Alongside Local Labour MP!
Those in and around the Madeira Drive area of Brighton can often feel sidelined. With a spree of attractions, including the i360, and a closer proximity to the centre of town, the other side of the pier is often prioritised.
There are plans in place to boost visitor numbers around Madeira Drive and give the area more prominence. This includes the recent announcement of a new 16-metre high rope walk.
However, in the meantime, there are things you can do in the more immediate future to aid the area. One such thing is the upcoming cleanup of the Madeira Terraces, of which Labour MP Lloyd Russell-Moyle may be in attendance.
The event will take place this Thursday at 10am, with the meet-up at the Madeira Café.
It should be a relaxing, friendly time, with the event dubbed a ‘Jaunty July Clean-Up’! The organisers are expecting to “have a mooch around & see what could benefit from our love & care.”
They ask that you bring your own cleaning tools if possible, otherwise, they will do their best to accommodate attendees. They do have safety hats and high viz vests and gloves.
