B Right On LGBT Community Festival is back!
B Right On LGBT Community Festival will be back from the 28th March for its third edition, following previous years’ success.
The festival will take place over two weeks, ending on the 14th of April, and will be located at the Victoria Gardens, known for usually being occupied by the Ladyboys of Bangkok Sabain Pavillion.
The LGBT+ festival will offer a wide variety of events (72 to be exact!) for all tastes and preferences, celebrating LGBT+ lives and cultures, including:
- Community events: mental health workshops; suicide prevention training; domestic abuse awareness training;
- Entertainment: sing-a-long Rocky Horror Show; Quuer Art exhibition; Brighton Fringe award winner Andrew Farr performing as Edith Piaf live at Nimegue;
- Other events: Community cafe; trans live exhibition LGBT+ history quiz night with Mrs More.
(This list is not exhaustive – you can find all the festival’s events here.)
This year B Right On is also launching ‘Safe Social’, a project encouraging LGBT+ people affected by loneliness to join together in preparing food and sharing a nutritious meal together.
The LGBT festival was first launched in 2017 to support LGBT families, victims of domestic abuse and disabled people. The festival prides itself to be fully accessible, being located in a multi-functional, fully accessible heated space, the Phil Starr Pavillion.
Tickets are already available for purchase online, and they will be available on site at the box office from 12PM on the 27th of March.
