Here is your guide to some of Brighton’s best gigs this week.

Monday 21st October

Harbinger @ The Pipeline

Harbinger are about to hit Brighton with their UK tour “Compelled To Suffer”. This band brings a fresh new take on deathcore, tech metal, melodeath and slam.

With their tour support Godeater and two local support acts, YVAH and Nausicaa, this evening will be for those who love metal music.

Tuesday 22nd October

Ashtray @ The Gladstone Open Mic

Singer-Songwriter Ashtray comes to Brighton to headline The Gladstone’s Open Mic Night.

Ashtray has a unique sound, focusing on alternative music whilst “capturing experiences of the youth of today”.

The Open Mic Night allows you to come and participate, sharing some of the music you’ve been writing or loving lately. Or you can come and be part of it’s captivate audience, and enjoy discovering new artists and finding new music.

Wednesday 23rd October

Brighton Showcase @ The Brunswick

The Brunswick hosts Chicken Greases’ Brighton Showcase, where they will be hosting some of the finest talents of the south coast. Headline act for this night is the Frank Greene Band brings to you UK Funk and Soul laced with rich harmonies, sweet melodies, infectious grooves and amazing voices.

Support includes Cactuses, The Beta Rays and Alysha. If you love soul and funk, this one is for you.

Thursday 24th October

Pollon @ Green Door Store

Green Door Store hosts Pollon: a 6-piece, 80’s influenced, guitar driven Alt-Pop/Rock Band this Thursday.

The event starts at 8pm and support includes Jetski Babylon, Cream with a K and Hypsoline. This one is not to be missed!

Friday 25th October

No Violet & Clt Drp @ Brighton Electric

This Friday marks the final show of the No Violet and Clt Drp co-headline Tour. Brighton Electric brings to you some of the most talked about emerging artists this year, with support brought to you by Gurf.

Saturday 26th October

Gaffa Tape Sandy, Beach Riot & Our Family Dog @ Chalk Live.

Scruff of the Neck brings to Chalk Live three emerging acts, Gaffa Tape Sandy, Beach riot and Our Family Dog. This night promises to hold a variety of talent, with garage-punk/ rock from Gaffa Tape, fuzzy pop from Beach Riot and psych/krautrock/garage from Our Family Dog.

Sunday 27th October

Nowhere Songwriters @ Nowhere Man

Nowhere Songwriters is a chance for some of Brighton’s best songwriters to experiment with new ideas in an intimate and creative atmosphere. Whether you are a creative person or simply want to come and listen to good music and drink a couple of beers, this event is for you.

The aim for this event is to “promote a culture of positive feedback and build a community where creatives can encourage and inspire each other”.

The acoustic songwriters for this event are Hipólito, Silas Nello and Sophie Reid.
