Brighton Set to Host Epic Beachfront Dance Battles

Brighton Set to Host Epic Beachfront Dance Battles
Hannah Midgley

The Passion & Purpose Dance Academy are hosting what looks to be a hugely exciting event on Brighton beach!

Their ‘Beach Side Battle 2018’ will take place at the Basketball Courts on the Lower Promenade. The event will see a series of dancers battle it out in 1v1 battles, with £80 cash prizes on offer for the eventual victor.

There will be a whole range of dancing styles, adding to the diversity of the battles.

It will take place this Sunday 29th, with a strict 1pm start time!

While spectating will be fun enough, for those who think they’ve got what it takes and are aged 13+, you can join the battles! It takes just £2 to enter, which is payable on the day! To do so, email or put your name and dance style on their Facebook wall!

Online registration for interested dancers closes July 28th at 6pm, with the dancers check-in between 12:00-12:40pm on the 29th.

After a preselection process, there will be a range of match-ups. There will be quarter-finals, semi-finals, and then the big battle between the best two dancers.

This isn’t the type of event you see everyday, and it would be a mistake to miss such a unique experience right on our doorstep! So Step Up 2: Brighton Beach, and experience some brilliant dance (sorry for the horribly outdated pun)!
