Brighton’s Street Fashion – Bold Prints and Bright Colours Come Out Top
The sun reared it’s head once more for a few precious hours this week, so we headed out into Brighton to find this week’s best dressed. It seems that this week you weren’t afraid to go bold – from rainbow stripes to animal prints, you lot certainly aren’t shy!
First up, chatted to the gorgeous Anne, who moved to Brighton last year from the Netherlands, as is about to start Brighton Film School. As a vintage enthusiast, Anne said that her favourite place for shopping is without a doubt the North Laines – “I love Collectif.” She’s also very sure of her own unique style: “I only own dresses, that’s all I wear! I have one pair of trousers, but only because I had to wear them for work.”
We also found Paul, who is visiting the UK from France, wandering around the Laines in his amazingly eye catching outfit. Another lover of vintage clothes, Paul said he couldn’t define his style: “I wear everything!”
Next up are Sophie and Beth who adore bold prints and bright colours. They said their favourite places to shop in Brighton were Nola Boutique and Snoopers Paradise, but the amazing leopard print flares pictured above are from Topshop. For this pair, flares and jumpsuits are their go-to wardrobe staples.
We also met Sophie, who had headed down from Crawley for a day of shopping. She told us that although she does love a trip through Brighton’s North Laines, high street shops are her favourite. “I love Topshop, Zara, River Island.” We asked her about her all time favourite thing to wear: “my Doc Martins without a doubt!”
Last but not least we found the lovely Chenade who was visiting Brighton with her family from Wales. She told us that she’s more of a fan of online shopping than heading into stores, with ASOS and Topshop being her faves. Her favourite ever item? “My fluffy pink Dr Martin Sandals!”
