Demonstration to be held over Southern Rail
A protest is to be held tomorrow night over the inadequacy of Southern Rail.
The demo, organised by Twitter account Southernrailout, is scheduled to take place on Tuesday the 14th June at 6:30.
Hoping to ‘go on for a few hours’, angry commuters are being encouraged gather at the station in protest of the consistently bad service provided by the rail franchise over the last few weeks.
The train service has been subject to severe delays recently due to walkouts and driver sickness, with many questioning the lack of staff as well as the general capability of the franchise to run the service that so many commuters rely on day to day.
Despite constant conversations between MPs, including Caroline Lucas, and Southern Rail Officials there are no plans to alter the current position of Southern as the franchise controlling the mainline between Brighton and London.
The protest is being organised for 6:30 tomorrow night on the concourse at Brighton Station.
