Get in the Festive Spirit with Late Night Shopping in the North Laine!

Get in the Festive Spirit with Late Night Shopping in the North Laine!
Hannah Midgley

Over 100 of the shops that line the quirky North Laine are set to open until 9pm on 6th December, as part of the annual late night shopping event!

Even the best of us can start feeling slightly overwhelmed when it comes to Christmas shopping. Whether it’s the stress of money, time or just not wanting to fund enormous corporations, there’s no denying that gift shopping can often dampen the festive spirits.

However, we all know that the gift is in the giving and we all want to be able to give our loved ones the perfect present. This is where the North Laine Late Night Shopping event comes in! All of your favourite quirky shops will be open until 9pm, giving you an amazing four extra hours of shopping time.

Shops will be all offering all sorts of extra treats, including exclusive offers, glasses of bubbly and maybe even the odd mince pie or two. What’s more, by opting to do your Christmas shopping in the North Laine’s beautiful boutiques, you are supporting Brighton’s independent traders, many of whom rely on their Christmas business throughout the rest of the year. It is the wonderfully eclectic shops that make Brighton the unique city that it is and we all have a responsibility to support them.

Still stuck for gift inspiration? We’d head to The Lavender Room to buy some homely gifts for your mum and we think Utility Goods would be the perfect place to shop for your dad or brother. Got a dapper boyfriend? Gresham Blake hold what you’re looking for. If you’re on the hunt for a special piece of jewellery for your girlfriend, we’d recommend Silverado. Looking for fun gifts for the kids? Burts is the place to be, with a huge range of games and books!
