As always, we have handpicked a selection of some of the best gigs on in Brighton. This week, we’ve gone for a varied selection, with sounds ranging from R&B to punk, to indie rock, and soul. We hope there’s something for everyone.

KSR @ The Prince Albert, Monday 8th April

Ahead of his new debut EP, ‘Unfiltered’, Manchester born soul and R&B Singer KSR is touring England. Catch him at the Prince Albert this Monday, for a soulful start to your week.

Pinegrove @ Concorde 2, Tuesday 9th April

Pinegrove are an indi-rock band from Montclair, New Jersey. They blend their sound with Americana influences and a ragged emo-tinged style.
The band is lead by Evan Stephens Hall, along with core members Nick Levine and brother Zack Levine.

Jack Lukeman @ Komedia, Wednesday 10th April

Jack Lukeman has been described as an ‘Irish singer-songwriter, performer, raconteur and a whole lot more besides.’ In Ireland he is already a platinum-selling, critically acclaimed artist, and now he is channeling his energy into the UK and beyond. Head down to Komedia this Wednesday for a gig that is sure to pick you up mid-week.

One Life Music @ The Green Door Store, Thursday 11th April

One Life Music is putting on a Stem Cell Fundraiser gig at the Green Door Store this Thursday. The evening will include local music, information and Q&A about stem cell research. James Bryon will be performing at the event, who’s stunning voice got him through the blind round of The Voice.

The Vibrators @ The Prince Albert, Friday 12th April

Formed in 1976, punk legends The Vibrators have supported The Stranglers and The Sex Pistols It’s a well-known fact for those that are in the know that the band only ever play great gigs!‘ Last year the night sold out, so if this is up your street then grab your tickets soon. The Vibrators will be joined by Local heroes Penny Blood and Mad Inc.

John Digweed @ Concorde 2, Saturday 13th April

John Digweed is coming to Concorde this Saturday, to bless Brighton with a 3 hour set. He is extremely well respected in the music world and has been described as a ‘DJ’s DJ‘. His management and creative direction for the Bedrock Label has birthed the career for many loved artists, and his name is now ‘synonymous with quality, ingenuity and integrity’.

Nilüfer Yanya @ The Haunt, Sunday 14th April

Nilüfer Yanya, London’s 23-year-old “effortlessly smooth new soul star” (The FADER) is performing in Brighton as part of her European Tour. Her new single ‘Heavy Weight Champion of the Year’ has received overwhelming support. This promises to be a stunning gig, and a perfect end to the week.
