The best of Brighton this weekend on Instagram

Brighton street art
Hannah Midgley

From starlings to sparring, street art to street barks, Instagrammers have been snapping Brighton’s best this weekend. There‘s no need to strain that scrolling finger, though, because we’ve done the hard work for you, and cherrypicked the very finest right here. Did we mention there are dogs?

Starlings perform murmurations in order to confuse predators and safely roost for the night, with the bonus side effect of creating mesmerising patterns and beautiful sights over Brighton’s beaches. Despite starling populations declining every year, thousands of birds continue to gather and perform a free show for Brightonians taking a wander at dusk. Photo by 3000realms on Instagram

Man meets nature in this innovative street art found by simonmonagram on Instagram. Street art is everywhere in Brighton, but this ivy hairdo stands out from the rest, as the woman’s piercing gaze stares at you through her leafy locks.

What’s the one way to improve a sunrise walk in Brighton? With two dogs of course! These good boys were papped by happyhoundsdoghouse, and they couldn’t look happier to be out and about.

Who says you can only have a beach day in June? Brighton’s beach huts look beautiful all year round, although it looks a bit chilly to be sat there for too long! One thing is for sure, claire.bbll’s photo has got us dreaming for summer.

Chris Eubank Jr is training in Brighton ahead of his fight next month. The motivational quotes adorning the walls of this gym are urging the Brightonian boxer on, but we just like the black and white aesthetic. Cue training montage! Photo by lawrencelustigphotography.

Brighton is full of rainbows, not least this less-than-subtle effort on the promenade. The rainbows add some much-needed colour to the winter months, but also represent the thriving LGBT+ community here. Vicky.ferr and her other account another_lesbian_channel document some of Brighton’s most colourful and characterful places.
