The Setting Sun pub in Hanover set to reopen this April
The Setting Sun, an iconic pub in the heart of Hanover, is set to reopen next month, on the 5th April.
The two new and very excited landlords, Fynn Fáelán and Kathryn Joice, announced the happy news yesterday.
Throughout the month of March the pub will go through some major changes, including moving the bar to create additional seating space and making the garden cosier for the winter months.
The pub will have a brand new kitchen which will be able to offer a large selection of food, including the beloved Sunday roast. The two owners aim to provide food for all dietary requirements, and all their meat, fish and vegetables will be locally sourced.
The Setting Sun is hoping to be once again a place for Hanover residents to come together and will be offering regular events to keep the locals entertained.
On the Faceboog group ‘Hanover Community Notice Board’ Fynn and Kathryn wrote: “Our dream is to reunite the community with this stunning pub and hope you will all be happy with the ideas we shall be implementing, such as bi-monthly quizzes and open mic nights.
“We have a vast knowledge of running pubs in Brighton and hope this will make The Setting Sun a well operated and beautifully run establishment.”
The news was extremely well received on Facebook and local residents are looking forward to the opening night.
The pub is currently looking for staff, and would also encourage local artists to get in touch for murals and selling their art. You can contact The Setting Sun at firstname.lastname@example.org.
