The Whiskey Affair is off on the road, and they’re headed straight to Brighton. On the 20th February The Whiskey Affair is taking place in Otherplace at the Basement and will be bringing you whiskey from around the world including brands such as Bulleit Bourbon, Elijah Craig, Woodford Reserve and Tullamore Dew.

The Whiskey Affair events operate in a similar style to beer festivals. They have a cashless bar which operates on tokens, of which are sold throughout the evening, and you can purchase as many tokens as you like. Some of the drinks on offer are much rarer than others, therefore will cost more. The event will have live music by local Brighton musician Josh Bevan, as well as a free photobooth.

The Whiskey Affair was founded by Catherine Jackson, and is aimed at both novice consumers and whiskey connoisseurs. After their inaugural event in London, they are taking their event to our seaside town, with sixty whiskey brands on offer. Jackson said “I want to aim the show at a group of friends as opposed to other shows that charge £100 per ticket and are more targeted towards whiskey aficionados. Even if you don’t know a huge amount about whiskey, it’s a great and affordable opportunity to come with some friends, learn about the spirit and different brands, and find a style you like either through sipping them neat or in the cocktails we’ll be serving – it’s a really easy way to get into whisky”.

Tickets cost £10 plus booking fee and can be purchased here.
