As usual we have compiled a list featuring some the very best events happening in Brighton and Hove at the end of the working week. This weekend promises to be fun packed with a truly mixed bag of events on offer, so take a look!

Hands on Health: Charity Massage & Yoga Festival @ Jubilee Square – Friday 17 August

For a fun day with family and friends why not swing down to Jubilee Square this Friday, where Jing trained Therapists from all around the UK will be putting on a massage and yoga extravaganza! All for a good cause, this event will help raise money for local childrens charity, The Dolphin House. You can expect a variety of yoga classes, massages from the ‘Massage Marathon Marquee’, face painting and more! So come down for a great day!

Massages require pre-booking to reserve a full hour massage treatment: Just wear comfortable clothes an arrive 15 mins prior to booking!

Sussex Sharks vs. Middlesex @ The 1st Central County Ground – Friday 17 August 

T20 ‘Vitality Blast’ is back again this Friday at The 1st Central County Ground, as Sussex Sharks take on bottom of the table Middlesex. This match will see Sussex Sharks fighting for a place in the T20 Quarter finals in front of their home crowd, so with everything still to play for, come down for an expected exciting evening of cricket!

Beer Tour @ India Gate, Royal Pavilion Gardens – Saturday 18 August

Beer lovers if you can’t wait for Brighton & Hove’s first ever beer week that starts next Friday (see story here), then why not join this beer tour where you’ll wander around the heart of Brighton, with various ‘beer stops’, tasting a range of beers! You’ll learn about the history of beer and brewing in the city, from fishermens’ inns to fashionable pump houses, and student hangouts to craft breweries. This is the perfect Saturday afternoon out with friends or family.

LOVE’S LABOUR’S LOST Folksy Theatre @ Brighton Open Air Theatre – Saturday 18 August

The King of Navarre and his lords have sworn off food, women and sleep for three years. But how will the King and his lords resolve hold up when the Princess of France and her ladies-in-waiting arrive? Come and see this wonderful Shakespeare comedy filled with Folksy’s touch of live music, audience interaction and downright silliness!

Brighton Thai Festival @ Preston Park – Saturday 18 August – Sunday 19 August

Come and enjoy the spirit of Thailand this Saturday and Sunday at Preston Park where you can enjoy wonderful authentic Thai cuisine at Brighton Thai Festival! At this two day event you can also expect live cooking demonstrations and entertainment throughout the day, including traditional music, dancing and Muay Thai boxing. Additionally there will also be kids rides, so bring along your families and friends and experience Thai culture for yourself!

Brighton Seawater Tour @ Brighton Volk’s Railway Station – Sunday 19 August

Ever wondered why Brighton is such a popular seaside resort town? Well on this seafront tour, you can discover old bath houses, the seawater cure, piers and swimming pools, and see how the seawater has drawn people to Brighton for their health, amusement and delight! This tour which is a nicely condensed one and a half hour session, requires no booking, enabling you to just turn up and dive straight into the tour!
