Banff Mountain Film Festival Red Programme at Brighton Dome

Titanic Experience at The Old Ship Hotel

The Brunswick Winter Beer Festival
The opportunity to revel in some of the finest local beers from Sussex, the rest of the UK and even from Europe, is upon us thanks to The Brunswick Pub’s Winter Beer Festival. Heart and Soul Festival at The Brighton Health and Wellbeing Centre
Keeping in line with the theme of this weekend, the Brighton Health and Wellbeing Centre is proving that love is the best medicine! Back for their second year, the festival touches on the importance of love and the power of health and wellbeing through various discussions, art and dance workshops, and performances. To engage with the theme further, numerous guest speakers are set to participate in talks surrounding topics in mental health, food nutrition and much more.

Anita Corbin: 100 First Women Portraits at Brighton Museum
Highly praised photographer Anita Corbin celebrates the power of women with her new exhibition. Exhibiting portraits of 100 pioneering and victorious women of the 21st century, Corbin’s images capture female empowerment with both day to day and celebrity heroines such as football manager Hope Powell, Olympian boxer Nicola Adams OBE and Lady Brenda Hale from the Supreme Court. It’s a brilliant and wholesome way to learn and be inspired by the successes of incredible women.

Sunday 16th February
Star Party at the British Airways i360
South Downs National Park has organised a stargazing extravaganza to be rejoiced by astronomical fans alike. Taking place on the seafront by the i360, astronomers from the South Downs National Park Authority, the University of Sussex and the Brighton Astro have kindly allowed their powerful and scientific telescopes to be set up for guests to gape through. For an additional cost, there is a unique opportunity to stargaze on the i360 itself with the event lasting 45 minutes and accompanied by Dark Skies Rangers Dan Oakley. This family-friendly event is open to all with food available courtesy of the West Beach Bar and Kitchen, an opportunity to engage in the Dark Skies’ VR experience and games for kids to enjoy throughout the evening!

artrepublic Pop Up Cinema
Wind down and relax before the week restarts by attending a unique film night, featuring a selection of short exclusive and individualistic films not subsequently widely shown, amongst an intimate audience. Titles include ‘And, We Disappear’, a film about a woman discovering her afterlife, ‘Rising Water’, highlighting the future of a sinking village and ‘A Visual Ode to a Hare in the Woods’, a tribute to chef Massimo Bottura.
