Brighton has a jam-packed weekend ahead – from comedy to yoga, and nature walks to folk music nights, we’ve got it all!

Bridget Christie: What Now? – Friday 18th May

Bridget Christie is concerned that we’re allowing menial things such as Brexit, Donald Trump and impending nuclear was impede our ability to enjoy life’s simple pleasures like gardening or bakery. Christie’s new show is here to help – join her for a night of comedy and despair at Brighton Dome as part of Brighton Festival.

Night Time Nature Walk – Friday 18th May

May is National WalkingMonth, so Healthwalks Brighton & Hove have held weekly walks throughout the month to get people involved. This week they’re hosting a Night Time Nature Walk – join them on Friday to enjoy the sounds and sights of nature at dusk.

Meet at Knoll Recreation Park Pavilion, 8.30pm, FREE, Rowan Avenue, BN3.

EFêMERA: two with a story to tell – Saturday 19th May

Efêmera is a powerful verbatim piece, that tells the true stories of migrant women. The show runs all weekend, but the Saturday afternoon showing is followed by a post-show discussion. Brought to you by the award-winning Theatre Company Footprint Project, this is guaranteed to be a performance not to be missed.

Day of Free Yoga at Space Yoga Studio – Saturday 19th May

Head down to Space Yoga Studio this Saturday for an entire day of completely FREE yoga! Classes at Space Yoga Studio, a gorgeous, serene space, will all be run by experienced teachers, who will guide you into greater understanding of your body and how it works. Classes run from 9.30 AM onwards, see their Facebook page for full class schedule.

The World of Moominvalley – Sunday 20th May

Revisit your childhood this Saturday with Moomins author, Philip Ardagh, and Daniel Hahn, when they will be introducing us to their new book – The World of Moomin Valley. This is an event for old and young fans alike, whether you’re re-discovering, or finding out about the joys of the Moomin world for the first time.

The Brunswick is hosting May’s edition of Brighton Folk, Roots and Acoustic Night, with performances from Rob Corcoran, Ian Roland and Milton Hide. Get down there before 8 for a relaxed evening of music.
