A Fresh Breeze, The Smell Of The Sea And Nothing But Your Own Thoughts!

You have probably walked past them a hundred times but never really paid attention to it! At different spots along Brighton’s seafront, there are brightly colored signs indicating the itinerary for the Brighton & Hove Seafront Healthwalk. Four miles long, this nice walk is the perfect opportunity to catch some fresh sea air, enjoy the beautiful views Brighton’s seafront has to offer and get lost in your own thoughts if you decide to walk alone.

If you want to do the whole walk, you can either start at Hove Lagoon or at Brighton Marina. It doesn’t matter which one you choose, you can be sure to have the same views and get the same amount of healthy exercising. Leading you directly along Brighton’s amazing seafront, the walk will get you along the Hove Lawns, Brighton’s amazing seafront arches and beach bars and cafes, the iconic Palace Pier and the lively Marina.

Other than the actual trail and the facilities along the walk, the signs put up along the way also indicate the access points for the most popular shopping areas and some of Brighton’s most popular attractions, which gives you the chance to combine your walk with another activity of your choice.

The seafront walk is part of Brighton & Hove City Council’s Healthwalks scheme which features 18 regular walks across the city, led by trained Volunteer Walk Leaders. So, if you are not keen on walking on your own, you can join the one-mile guided Seafront Healthwalk. Meeting point is Brighton Palace Pier every Tuesday morning at 10am.

With walking not only being a really healthy form of exercising but also increasing your mental and emotional wellbeing, doing the walk will sure do you some good!
