Bryson DeChambeau got off to a hot start Thursday after rain delayed the start of the opening round. DeChambeau shot a 7-under 65 to take the early lead with LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman watching as he completed his round before the wind actually picked up at Augusta National.
Tiger Woods rallied in the late wave, opening his day with a birdie. He made it through 13 holes before play was called off due to darkness, so he will have five holes to go on Friday in his opening round.
Scottie Scheffler finished off DeChambeau with a 6-under 66. Nikolai Hoggard, who had two birdies on Thursday, is alone in third place at 5-under. He had been through 15 holes when play was called.
The first round will resume at 7:50 a.m. ET on Friday morning.
