Update: (Wednesday, Aug. 23) SpaceX teams at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station have rescheduled the next Falcon 9 Starlink mission that was originally scheduled to fly Wednesday night to no later than Friday, Aug. 25, during a window from 9:13 p.m. to 11 p.m. :30 p.m. EST as shown in the updated Space Force launch weather forecast.
The company has not confirmed the existence of the mission or given any reason for the rescheduling, but at the nearby Kennedy Space Center, teams are preparing to launch the NASA Crew-7 mission aboard the SpaceX Crew Dragon and Falcon 9 spacecraft scheduled for 3:00 p.m. 49 a.m., Friday, August 25.

SpaceX reschedules Starlink launch for Wednesday:
After initially targeting a launch on Tuesday, according to new federal filings, SpaceX has rescheduled the launch of its latest Falcon 9 Starlink mission to 24 hours after that. The launch is now scheduled to take place during a four-hour launch period from 8:22 PM EST, Wednesday, August 23, until 12:52 AM EST, Thursday, August 24.
What is the weather forecast for the launch:
Space Force forecasters last reported weather conditions 75% “go” for the duration of the window on Tuesday night. Only a slight chance of altocumulus formation was listed as a concern.
Forecasters expected weather conditions to be similar to the reserve day, with a 75% chance of favorable conditions around the Cape.

- It will host Launch Complex 40 of the Cape Canaveral Space Station.
- The payload is the company’s next batch of Internet-broadcasting Starlink satellites.
- The 230-foot Falcon 9 rocket will follow a southeasterly trajectory between Florida and the Bahamas.

When will the next SpaceX launch from Florida take place?
The next Falcon 9 scheduled to lift off from Florida will send NASA’s SpaceX Crew-7 mission to the International Space Station from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center.
NASA astronaut Jasmine Mokbeli, ESA astronaut Andreas Mogensen, JAXA astronaut Satoshi Furukawa, and Roscosmos astronaut Konstantin Borisov are scheduled to launch at 3:49 a.m. EST, Friday. August 25, aboard SpaceX’s Endurance Dragon capsule. The space station for a six-month science mission.
