First, it was Spotify, then Verizon, then PlayStation, and now it looks like it’s Bank of America’s turn to suffer an outage this week. Some customers reported problems accessing their bank accounts on Wednesday, with balances showing $0 or “—-” instead of what should be there.

“Some mobile and online banking customers had trouble accessing their account and balance information earlier today,” Matt Card, executive director of media relations at Bank of America, wrote in an email to . Edge. “These are technological issues Completely resolved. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

Reports spiked just before 1pm ET on Downdetector, with posts across X and Reddit From people who reported that their account balances didn’t show anything (some reported that the amounts they owed seemed to show up accurately).

We verified this afternoon that the bank’s app was showing customers a notification stating that “accounts are temporarily unavailable” and that “some accounts and/or balances are temporarily unavailable”, as previously reported by CNN. Some people reported that their accounts were working or had intermittent access to their information, and it’s not clear how many people are affected. In July, Bank of America 58 million customers said They used their “digital capabilities to help manage their financial lives” and that they called a record 23.4 billion times last year.
