Instead of a Switch successor, Nintendo this week announced a new alarm clock officially dubbed “Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarm‘.
Now, if that’s not enough excitement for one day, in case you missed it, this new device can actually receive software updates just like other Nintendo products. Sleep fans who were able to purchase one today from the Nintendo New York Store can upgrade their audio clock to Version 2.0.0.
So, with that in mind, here are the full patch notes for the latest Alarmo update. It adds a new mode option, a new records feature, and includes a few other things and Nintendo is already rolling out stability updates for it! Oh, and here’s how to perform a system update:
Perform a system update
You will receive a notification if a system update is available. Press the Notifications button when the envelope icon is displayed on Alarmo to see recent notifications and follow the given steps to perform the system update.
Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarms and Fires. 2.0.0 (Released October 9, 2024)
- “Moderate Mode” has been added as a new mode option.
- “Movement Log” has been added as a new logs feature.
- This will automatically be shown in the logs if you go to sleep during ‘Bedtime’.
- You can set this to on or off in the Logs menu on the device.
- The Distance from Bed can now be set to a maximum of 20 inches/50 cm for Queen and King size beds.
- When Check Sensor Area is turned on, the estimated Motion Position will now be displayed.
- General system stability improvements to enhance user experience.
