Airbnb icons let you drift off at home 'Up' or lounge at Prince's 'Purple Rain' mansion

If you want to dream in a balloon-raised house, party with Kevin Hart or party with Doja Cat, Airbnb has Just the thing.

The destination vacation rental company on Wednesday announced a new category of “Icons,” a collection of “extraordinary experiences hosted by the greatest names in music, film, television, art, sports and more.”

“Icons take you to worlds that have only existed in your imagination — until now,” Brian Chesky, Airbnb co-founder and CEO, said in a statement. “As life becomes increasingly digital, we are focused on bringing more magic to the real world. With Icons, we have created the most extraordinary experiences on Earth.

Here are some of the entertainment-focused icons announced so far:

Drift into the “top” house. – “Sleep inside one of Disney and Pixar's most iconic homes – and yes, it floats. You'll explore Carl's world in this detailed reconstruction of his house, outfitted with more than 8,000 balloons, set in the picturesque red rocks of Abiquiu, New Mexico.

Go VIP with Kevin Hart – “Kevin Hart takes you to the members-only Coramino Live Lounge for a high-profile evening. You'll join Kevin and his friends at this secret talk, where they'll treat you to tequila tastings and live stand-up with the best comedians in the game.

Join a living room session with Doja Cat – “Having started touring performing on the biggest stages in the world, Doja hosts you for a more intimate experience. You will enjoy an unforgettable living room performance by the Grammy Award-winning artist, including her favorite songs and tracks from her latest album.

Stay in House of Prince “Purple Rain”. – “Prince purchased the Minneapolis, Minnesota home featured in the legendary film “Purple Rain,” but it is not yet available to the public. Explore the home and enjoy rare and special tracks from Prince’s world in an exclusive studio session.

Game with Javi Lamy – “TikTok star Khaby Lame invites you to his hometown of Milan, Italy for an epic overnight gaming experience. You will stay in a unique gaming loft designed by Khaby himself, where you will learn from Khaby and take on him in Fortnite Battle Royale.

Go on tour with Feid – “Join the reggaeton superstar on his week-long FERXXOCALIPSIS world tour. You'll join the crew for rehearsals, ride the tour bus, and have backstage access to every show.

Enter the world of X-Men '97 – “Live like the

Make essential memories with 'Inside Out 2' – “In anticipation of the release of the new Disney and Pixar film on June 14, you are invited to stay the night at Headquarters, Riley's Emotion Control Center. Your host, Joy, will welcome you into her vibrant world to witness emotions in action and help keep things balanced.

Other icons include staying overnight at the Musée d'Orsay in Paris or visiting Bollywood star Janhvi Kapoor's home. Experiences are offered in their own category on the Airbnb platform. All are priced under $100 per guest, but only a limited number of orders for each experience will be selected via lottery.

Airbnb also rolled out other new features to its platform this week, including the ability for groups of guests to more easily book trips together.
