Billie Eilish dumps Casey Wasserman, joins WME amid affair scandal

Singer Billie Eilish split from music agency mogul Casey Wasserman on Tuesday in the wake of his extramarital affair scandal, TheWrap has learned.

The CEO of Wasserman and former chairman of the LA28 Olympic Games Committee was a direct representative of the Oscar- and Grammy-winning singer and her brother Finneas O’Connell. The fallout around Wasserman began after Daily Mail Report His long-standing practice of sleeping with his female employees was revealed earlier this month.

TheWrap previously reported that the report left Eilish “deeply upset” by the accusations as she prepared to split. The split was finalized Tuesday after the singer performed in honor of the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles alongside the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Snoop Dogg during the closing ceremony in Paris on Sunday.

“While grateful to their former direct booking agents at Wasserman, Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell have chosen to work with the same agency, WME, for their film, television and music portfolio going forward,” a spokesperson for Eilish told TheWrap.

Eilish is represented by Wasserman Music following its 2021 acquisition of Paradigm Talent Agency’s North American live music representation business. Eilish and O’Connell have been represented by WME in film and television since January 2023.

Representatives for Wasserman and WME did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.

In an Aug. 1 Daily Mail report, Wasserman was described as a “serial cheater” who chronically slept with female employees. The allegations against the power broker behind acts like Ed Sheeran and Coldplay date back nearly 20 years to when he was married to Laura Ziffren, from whom he is now separated, and was raising his newborn daughter, according to the report.
