It’s momentum time for me to pick up games.
After a slow start, sports betting has picked up pace, going 8-6 against the spread and 12-2 respectively last week. This brings my ATS record to 46-43-3 and my live record to 51-41. I take it.
This week features plenty of high-profile games, including a rematch Super Bowl From last February where the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers. This time, the game is in San Francisco and not on a neutral field, giving the 49ers a huge advantage. But is choosing them enough?
Read on and find out who I’m picking along with all my other sports betting picks. It’s the third Sunday in October, which means we should continue to understand the season a little better β at least we certainly felt that way in week six. Let’s keep the momentum going.

This is Sean Payton’s return to face his former team. But unlike the Saints teams, this Denver team is limited offensively. They are playing good defense, but they will be missing superstar Patrick Surtain. Spencer Rattler will be at fullback for the Saints after making his first start last week. I think he will play solid football here and the Saints will beat their former coach.
He chooses: Saints 23, Broncos 16
Bonus: Matt Severance, who has a 21-6 roll in Broncos games, released his best bets for the Thursday Night Football matchup for Week 7. Severance leans lower but who backs him up to cover? find out Here at SportsLine.
Sunday, 9:30 a.m. ET (NFL network, Fubo)
This is this week’s dog game. Both teams have major issues, but at least the Patriots have the excuse of starting a rookie quarterback in Drake May. With Jacksonville being a last pass defense, it could hit them with some big plays. But Jacksonville is the better team and Trevor Lawrence will play a little better.
He chooses: Jaguars 29, Patriots 21

This is a long journey for Seattle after three straight losses. The defense is suffering. That’s not a good thing against a good Atlanta offense. Look for a lot of points here as both midfielders play well. But Kirk Cousins ββis the one who is playing the best for the Falcons.
He chooses: Falcons 34, Seahawks 30
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)
The Bills are playing a short week after beating the Jets. The Giants are coming off a bad loss to the Colts at home. Their offense has been lifeless for most of the season, while the Bills can put up points. But I think Tennessee’s defense will keep the Giants in this matchup. It’s closer than I expected.
He chooses: Bills 23, Titans 17
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)
The Battle of Ohio is not what we thought it might be when the season started. The Browns are pretty bad on offense, while the Bengals struggle on defense. Something has to give here. I say Joe Burrow is playing well and the Bengals defense will continue what other defenses have done for the Browns this season, which is make Deshaun Watson struggle. Bengals win it.
He chooses: Bengals 21, Browns 17
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)
This game features two of the best young passers in the league, CJ Stroud and Jordan Love. Both can put up big numbers in the passing game. The Texans are playing back-to-back road games, which is tough. The Packers will get the best of it when Love wins a shootout with Stroud.
He chooses: Packers 34, Texans 30
Miami Dolphins at Indianapolis Colts (-3.5)
Sunday at 1 p.m. ET (Fox, Fubo try for free)
The Dolphins walked away with a much-needed bye, while the Colts came out of the way with a victory over the Giants. Anthony Richardson will return to the Colts at quarterback, while Tyler Huntley will start for the Dolphins. Both teams have had defensive issues stopping the run, so look for the Colts with the better running game to find a way.
He chooses: Colts 21, Dolphins 17
Sunday at 1 p.m. ET (Fox, Fubo try for free)
That’s first place in the division with the Vikings coming off a bye and the Lions coming off a blowout by the Cowboys on the road. The Lions lost Aidan Hutchinson with a broken leg, which will impact their pass rush in a major way. Look for Sam Darnold to light it up as he throws it to Austin Jefferson. The Lions will get their groove on as well with Jared Goff playing well. It will be fun to watch, but the Vikings will win it.
He chooses: Vikings 31, Lions 26
Sunday at 1 p.m. ET (Fox, Fubo try for free)
The Eagles didn’t look good in beating the Browns last week, while the Giants lacked offense in their loss to the Bengals. The Giants’ defense is playing well, while the Eagles’ offense is not. The Giants will get receiver Malik Nabers back in this one, which will be hugely important. The Giants won it in an upset.
He chooses: Giants 24, Eagles 20
Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)
The Rams are coming off the bye they needed due to injury. The Raiders had lost two in a row and a change to Aidan O’Connell at fullback improved the attack but fell short of victory. How does the Davante Adams trade impact this team? The Rams are the better team and Matt Stafford will be the better quarterback. The Rams take it.
He chooses: Rams 27, Raiders 19
Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)
This is a game that features two defenses that have issues with two offenses that can score. So look out for a shootout between Jayden Daniels and Andy Dalton. Ultimately, I’m betting that Daniels is the one who gets the best of it as Washington rebounds from a loss to the Ravens last week.
He chooses: Leaders 35, Panthers 27
Kansas City Chiefs at San Francisco 49ers (-1)
Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET (Fox, Fubo try for free)
This is a big game for both teams, a Super Bowl rematch. The Chiefs are coming off a bye, while the 49ers played last Thursday, so that negates that a bit. The 49ers have been struggling on defense, which is not a good thing against Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs play well on defense. This continues when they win a tough road game.
He chooses: Chiefs 27, 49ers 23
Sunday, 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC, Fubo try for free)
The Jets made a move to acquire Davante Adams, who should help the offense if he plays. The Steelers have a quarterback problem again as Russell Wilson appears to be taking first-team reps. No matter who plays, it will be the running game and defense that play a major role in this game for the Steelers. But the Jets will be back playing good defense and Aaron Rodgers will do enough to win a tough road game.
He chooses: Jets 23, Steelers 17
Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET (ESPN, Fubo try for free)
This is a big match between two of the best teams in the league right now. Both offenses can rack up big points quickly. This could be one of those games where the last team with the ball wins. Being home and Monday, I’m going with Baker Mayfield to win the shootout.
He chooses: Bucs 34, Ravens 31
Monday, 9pm ET (ESPN+)
The Chargers go on the road for the second straight week after a win in Denver. The Cardinals return home for the first time in three weeks. Arizona has a lack of defense, which shows up on a weekly basis β even if they play hard. I bet the Chargers will win it behind their offense. Kyler Murray won’t be able to keep up with a Chargers defense that continues to play well.
He chooses: Chargers 27, Cardinals 14
