Staying under the speed limit while driving with Google Maps may soon become a lot easier on the iPhone, as an on-screen speedometer has started appearing for some users.
The speedometer in both iOS and CarPlay versions of Google Maps has been spotted by Self-development And its readers, although it is unfortunate that no one has been able to take screenshots or pictures of it yet.
Because it uses GPS data, this speedometer can be more accurate than your car’s speedometer, as well as be more conveniently positioned when checking upcoming directions.
Some Android versions of Google Maps can already do this, but seeing the feature appear in the iOS and CarPlay versions of Google Maps is exciting news for Apple users, who currently can only see speed limits for the current road while driving.
