Raquel Levis defiantly returned to social media to update “Vanderpump Rules” fans on where she and co-star Tom Sandoval stood after their months-long relationship.
“Besides the inexcusable circumstances surrounding our relationship, my feelings for Tom were always sincere and born of a loving friendship,” Levis wrote on Instagram Wednesday night.
“Knowing how many people we’re hurting, I need to understand my choices and learn how to make better choices.”
Leavis said she now needs to shift the focus to her mental health, as well as “work on self-growth and take some time to be okay with being on her own.”
“I care about Tom and I don’t want to prescribe anything or predict what lies ahead. Now I need to heal,” she concluded.
Courage officially broke its silence earlier Wednesday Share a lengthy statement With 515,000 followers on Instagram.
“I want to apologize for my actions and my choices, and above all, to Ariana [Madix] And to my friends and fans so invested in our relationships,” she wrote.
“There is no justification. I am not a victim, and I must own up to my actions, and I feel very sorry for hurting Ariana.”
The 28-year-old blamed the affair on her “addiction” to love and vowed to do better from now on.
“I’m reflecting on my choices, talking to a counselor and learning things about myself like my codependency and addiction patterns and feeling in love,” she wrote.
“I have sought emotional validation through unhealthy intimate relationships regardless of my own personal happiness, sometimes negatively affecting others and often prioritizing intimacy over my friendships.”
Levis has alleged she has been “physically assaulted, lost friendships, received death threats and hate emails” since the case, dubbed “Scandoval,” made headlines last week, citing a sexually explicit video she recently accused her co-stars of participating in.
“I started counseling to end my cycle of unhealthy behavior, learn to set stronger emotional boundaries and learn to protect my mental health,” she concluded, adding that she “doesn’t expect empathy, understanding, or forgiveness.”

Her statement came just hours after Tom Sandoval, 39, issued a bitter apology to Madix.
“I want to apologize to Ariana. I made mistakes, I was selfish, and made rash decisions that hurt someone I love. No one deserves to feel that pain so shockingly and publicly,” he wrote via Instagram early Wednesday.
“I can only imagine how devastating this was for Ariana and everyone around us. … What I regret most is that I insulted Ariana.”
