James Taylor breaks his silence on why he didn’t perform at the Democratic National Convention despite being seen rehearsing.

The singer was expected to perform “You’ve Got a Friend.” At the Chicago United Center he was seen practicing his musical number, but It ended up getting shocks.

“It was exciting to see and hear so many of the speakers on the opening night of the Democratic Convention here in Chicago. We had a great rehearsal with @RickeyMinor and the amazing singers, @KenyaHathaway and Matthew Johnson before the event,” Taylor wrote in a statement shared on Twitter. Instagram.
