Jason Momoa apologizes for the photos inside the Sistine Chapel

Jason Momoa apologizes after taking photos and videos during his recent trip to the Sistine Chapel.

Earlier this week, the “Aquaman” star made an appearance Instagram To share the photos he took of himself admiring the artwork inside the Apostolic Palace. The only problem is that photography is prohibited, as the flash can damage the artwork.

Momoa commented on his message “I love you Italy what a nice start to our day off enjoying ROMA”. Fans were so outraged that some thought the actor, 42, had received special treatment.

“We, normal people, are not allowed to photograph inside the Sistine Chapel,” one user commented. Another fan said, “We can’t take pictures but the OFC celebrities can’t do anything against Jason (I adore him) but it’s not fair.”

After Momoa received the backlash, he released an apology video that he shared Jared only.

“I just wanted to say, if I ever felt like I didn’t respect your culture, that wasn’t my intention,” Momoa said.

“I came here when I was 19 or 20 to experience the Sistine Chapel. I’ve always wanted to, and now that I can I’ve made a great donation to bring my friends and staff because we only had a couple of days off to experience these places.”

He continued, “And then I found people who wanted to take pictures with me, which is very strange, during a trip to the Vatican with all this wonder and wanted to take pictures with me, which I didn’t get, but regardless, I did.

“I was very respectful and asked for permission what I thought would be okay. I would never want to do anything to disrespect someone’s culture. If I did, I apologize. I didn’t mean to. I paid for that special moment and made a nice donation to the church. I love you.” Sorry if I offended you.”

Aside from viewing historical sites while in Italy, Momoa was filming his upcoming movie “Fast X.” It is a sequel to “F9” and is the tenth major installment in the “Fast & Furious” franchise.

The movie – which also starred Vin Diesel, Charlize Theron, Song Kang and John Cena – has a release date of May 2023.
