Joe Biden’s warning to Israel regarding the events of September 11: Do not repeat the “mistakes” of the United States in “anger” | world News

On a mission to Israel to prevent the Hamas war from escalating into a broader regional conflict, US President Joe Biden warned Tel Aviv not to make the same mistakes that Washington made during the events of September 11. Israel considers Hamas’s recent attack on Israel a 9/11 moment and Hamas refers to it as the Al-Aqsa Flood.

“I caution you, while you feel this anger, don’t get caught up in it. After September 11, we were angry in the United States. While we sought justice and we got justice, we also made mistakes,” Joe Biden said.

Joe Biden’s visit came after hundreds of people were killed in a hospital explosion in the Gaza Strip. Hamas blamed the explosion on an Israeli airstrike, while the Israeli military blamed a missile that members of another Palestinian armed group misfired.

Earlier, Joe Biden said that the Pentagon presented him with evidence indicating that Israel was not responsible for the deadly explosion that occurred in a hospital in Gaza City, killing hundreds and threatening to plunge the region into chaos.

“Based on what I saw, it looks like it was done by the other team,” Joe Biden told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The US President also said that Israel agreed to allow aid into the Gaza Strip.

Joe Biden said, “Israel has agreed to the possibility of beginning the transfer of humanitarian aid from Egypt to Gaza,” adding that the United States is working with its partners to “move trucks across the border as soon as possible.”

The war began on October 7 and became the bloodiest of the five Gaza wars for both sides. The Ministry of Health in Gaza said that 3,478 Palestinians were martyred and more than 12,000 were injured during the past eleven days. More than 1,400 people were killed in Israel, and Hamas captured at least 199 others, including children, and took them to Gaza, according to Israel.
