Laurence Fox has been sacked by GB News and arrested after filming police raid – Deadline

Lawrence Fox, the British actor who played the title role Louis And White lineswas fired from GB News and arrested on the same day.

GB News said Wednesday it had “terminated its employment relationship” with Fox after he was suspended last week for making misogynistic remarks about journalist Ava Evans.

His Fox News rant, in which he claimed that no “self-respecting man” would “get into bed” with Evans, became the most complained about moment on British television since 2021. He has since apologized to Evans for his remarks.

Fellow GB News presenter Calvin Robinson also lost his job after declaring his support for Wootton, who has remained off the air while he was investigated by the news network.

Lawrence Fox arrested

Fox’s sacking came shortly after he was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit criminal damage to London’s controversial Low Emission Zone cameras.

Hours ago, he broadcast what appeared to be a police raid on his home. The Reclaim Party, the populist political party launched by Fox in 2020, posted the footage on X (formerly Twitter) in which the actor claimed police were confiscating items from his home.

This came after Fox announced his support for the “Blade Runners” group of Ultra Low Emission Zone (Ulez) rangers in an interview with former LBC Radio host Maajid Nawaz on Rumble.

“I encourage them to demolish every camera in existence and I will join them,” the suspended GB News presenter said on Tuesday. “I’m very close to a lot of people and I’ll be there with my angle grinder.”

The Metropolitan Police said in a statement: “Officers have arrested a 45-year-old man on suspicion of conspiracy to commit criminal damage to Ollie’s cameras and encouraging or assisting the commission of offences.

“He was arrested in Stockwell and taken to south London police station where he remains in custody.”
