Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu criticized French President Emmanuel Macron and other Western leaders on Saturday, saying they called for an arms embargo on Israel over its air strikes on Hamas in Gaza.

Netanyahu said in a statement: “As Israel fights the forces of barbarism led by Iran, all civilized nations must stand firmly with Israel, and yet President Macron and other Western leaders are now calling for an arms embargo against Israel. Shame on them.”

He continued: “Does Iran impose an arms embargo on Hezbollah, the Houthis, Hamas and its other proxies? Of course not. This axis of terrorism stands together, but the countries that are supposed to oppose this axis of terrorism are calling for an arms embargo on Israel.”

Netanyahu described their position as a “disgrace,” adding that Israel would win “with or without their support, but their shame will continue long after the war is won.”

“In defending itself against this barbarism, Israel is defending civilization against those who seek to impose a dark age of intolerance on us all,” he said. “Rest assured, Israel will fight until the battle is won – for us and for our sake.” For peace and security in the world.”

Netanyahu noted that Israel is defending itself on seven different fronts, including Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Lebanon, Shiite militias in Iraq and Syria, and terrorists in Judea and Samaria and Iran.

Macron said on Saturday that France would no longer supply weapons to Israel, although the country would continue to send missile defense equipment.

Macron said in an interview: “I think the priority today is to return to a political solution, and to stop delivering weapons to the fighting in Gaza.” Euro news.

Also on Saturday, the Israeli army announced that it had raided and dismantled an underground Hezbollah command complex in Lebanon.

Israeli army spokesman Admiral Daniel Hagari said in a press conference: “The forces entered a terrorist tunnel approximately 250 meters long, which is located approximately 300 meters from the border and does not cross into Israeli territory.”

He added that a small kitchen and rooms allowing long-term stay underground were found inside the complex, in addition to weapons and command rooms.

He added, “These compounds were scheduled to be used by Hezbollah terrorists in an attack on the towns of the Galilee.” He added: “This tunnel did not enter our territory, and we destroyed it yesterday.”

The United States continues to supply weapons to Israel, even though President Biden has spoken out against the country’s approach to its war with Gaza in which tens of thousands of civilians have been killed.

“I think what he’s doing is wrong,” Biden said in August, while continuing to call for a ceasefire. “I don’t agree with his approach.”

In a surprise appearance this week at a White House news conference, Biden, responding to a reporter, said he was unsure whether Netanyahu was delaying the ceasefire to influence the November election.

“I don’t know if he’s trying to influence the election, but I’m not counting on it,” Biden said. “No administration has helped Israel more than me. No one, no one, and I think he should remember that.”
